--- I can't say enough good things about this cd. Once again Toni has given another breathtaking performance. For me, many of the songs were new, which is always a treat. Those songs that were first released on the 'Never Let Me Go' cd have a warmth that they lacked on the previous recording. The accompaniment is superb, and always provides just the right emotional underpinning for each song. On a few songs, however, I couldn't help but imagine a string section swelling in response to Toni's emotional pleas, or a sax player giving counterpoint to a sigh, or a rhythm section pounding out a beat as Toni swings.

As always, the signature Rumbo [recorders studio] sound is apparent, and the recording is top notch. I'm looking forward to the next cd. If it's not too late to suggest a song, how about "I'm A Fool to Want You"? I think Toni could really pour her heart into it, and its lower register would suit her voice really well.

- Dear Toni:

I think the two best songs off this new CD are "Tenderly" which you dedicated to your father which I think is very special to remember a beloved parent in such a special way. Having been the inspiration for your love of great music, I'm sure he is greatly missed. This version is crisper and shows off your true vocal beauty slightly fuller than on your original version off your 1991 CD, Never Let Me Go. The original is nice but this one shows more strength and honesty in your vocal performance.

My other favorite song would be "I'm Glad There is You" which has always been a favorite standard of mine. All these songs are nice but please release more music with your talented husband Captain too because as a duo your voice and sound cannot be beat.

- Dear Toni,

I think this new cd is the best you've ever done. I have just recently gotten into the purchase of old Captain and Tennille albums, but I don't believe I've ever heard you sound more sexy, or confident. Up to this point I thought you showed your truest talent on the Neil Sadaka tune You Never Done It Like That. However, I was wrong again because you get better, and better with every release. I don't want to take too much of your time, so I just want to say I love you and your work. Please don't ever stop singing.

Sincerely,
Joe, your biggest fan

- Just bought the CD this past week.

I was very impressed with Toni's vocals. After this many years in the biz, she still has it! I was fortunate to catch a C&T concert at the House of Blues, Los Angeles, CA a few years ago. My favorite section of the show was her solo jazz/big band performance. Not to mention, Toni still looks fabulous!! My friend and I were awestruck listening to her sing "Guess who I saw today," which was a very moving performance.

I was so impressed that I insisted we see the stage show, "Victor Victoria" to hear Toni deliver another excellent performance as a commanding lead stage presence and singer. This was truly a performance of a lifetime and a milestone for Toni. Toni, you pulled the stage show of "Victor Victoria" off with ease.

My favorite track on the new CD is "The Last Dance". This song has a new twist to former TT recordings. This song took me all the way back to the "Moonglow" album, where I hear the similar style of fading used on the track "Happiness is just a thing called Joe." I am so thankful that CD is available today on CD. I plan to purchase it immediately as I currently own the vinyl recording only. It has since aged in it's heavy rotation playback on my turntable! The fader at the end of "Last Dance" combined with the melodic piano accompianment after Toni's exiting vocal lyrics send me off to romance land in a soothing way. This reminded me of a track recorded by the Carpenters called "Look to your dreams" from their "Voice of the Heart" CD, released after the unfortunate loss of Karen Carpenter. Both "Dreams" and "Dance" contain similar elements and spirit in the way they are arranged.
Thank you for entertaining me for the last 25 or so years. I look forward to the next CD and future live performances I will surely attend if they are in Southern California.

My best, Eli

--- I received this cd the day i was leaving for my summer holiday at the beach So, I tossed it in with the other discs I had packed and later that night popped it in while I cooked dinner. I was blown away!

The theme of just a piano and THAT VOICE!!! Delicious! Ms. Tennille's voice has [not] been dimmed by the years, it's strong and sweet at once. She makes it sound so effortless, not like most "pop divas" who get so lost in riffing and vamping you can't hear a melody.

I played this cd every night and always had friends or dinner guests begging for it, even my mom loved it-talk about bridging the generation gap! Every song is a gem but my faves are "I'v Got a Crush on You", "Candy", "Tenderly" and "For All We Know". Can't wait for the sequel, after all who hasn't loved and lost?

--- I have been listening to Toni Tennille since Daryl 'The Captain" Dragon recorded Love will keep us together. All I can say is KEEP IT UP.

Toni's rich voice on her new CD "Incurably Romantic" is absolutely awesome. I always had an interest in jazz music and Toni's performances and other albums have made appreciate this rare and beautiful music even more. I believe that Toni and Daryl with their music helped people and many parents and teens connect - I had a wonderful relationship with my parents as a child, as a teenager and now as an adult, and with Toni and Daryl's music it was enhanced over time. Thank you for choosing your music with class!

Thank you,
Kevin

--- Referred from Toni Tennille's new website announcing her brand new solo CD. Been a fan of hers for 25 years, she keeps getting better and is without question one of the most gifted & versatile vocalists, as well as a true musician in contemporary music.

A seasoned performer, not many vocalists would attempt to record an album with only a piano as accompaniment. In my opinion, she has not received the recognition she deserves for her immense talent and her rich sensuous vocals & dedication to music of all genres. She is a 1ST-RATE-CLASS-ACT who puts her heart & soul into whatever she's doing.
